The 91st bomber group fight their way home after leaving a target over the Ruhr Valley, Germany.
While the 91st were the first over the Ruhr to Ham, They lead both Schweinfurt missions in 1943. They continued to
strike targets in the Ruhr Valley well into 1944. The “Nine-O-Nine” was assigned to combat on February 25, 1944.
By April 1945, she had made eighteen trips to Berlin, dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs, and flown 1,129 hours
